From December 20, 2021 through January 20, 2022 we consulted you and Atlantic Canadians to get your perspective about shopping local. The following are the key insights provided by the more than 7,300 respondents to our pan-Atlantic survey.
Here’s what you told us:
- 79% make more of an effort to shop local now than they did 6 months ago.
- 90% have shopped locally in the past 3 months.
- 72% shop local more than they did 6 months ago.
- 69% report that Shop Local campaigns increased their awareness of local businesses.
- 86% think shopping local is more important since the pandemic.
