Come Home Year 2022. Make Memories To Last A Lifetime!
The Lewisporte and area has spectacular views, places to stay, shopping, hiking trails, and hidden gems to find. It is a place you can relax with mother nature, catch a fish or take in some fesivals in the area.
Search out hidden gems such as this dam in Campbellton, just 10 minutes from the town of Lewisporte. The dam was built in 1911-1913, failed in 1915, repaired and failed again in 1916. It is quite interesting to visit and see the tunnels and the machinery used for the mill still visable today. A favorite swimming spot for the locals.
If you want to relax in mother nature check out the parks in the area. Woolfreys Pond Park in Lewisporte has both electrical and non-electrical sites available, as well as a boardwalk around the pond. You can stay in a pod hosted by Islands Villa lewisporte. Islands villa also has rooms and cabins available to rent.
If you prefer modern amenities the Brittany Inns Motel is close by , and you can take in shopping and local restaurants in the area.
Take an excursion on the bay and boil up a Jiggs dinner or cook some fresh caught cod on the shore.
Visit the lovely Town of Comfort Cove-Newstead and pick up fresh vegetables at Triple E Farm, get a fisherman to take you out in boat and catch a cod to fry up!
